Ingredients

  • 120g unsalted butter
  • 150g dark chocolate
  • 1g coffee powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 115g sugar
  • 105g cake flour
  • 3g salt
  • 8g cocoa powder

Workflow:

1. Melt the unsalted butter and dark chocolate in a large bowl.

2. Stir in the coffee powder until the mixture becomes smooth and glossy.

3. Mix the eggs and sugar together. In a separate bowl, combine the cake flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Then, mix the two mixtures together.

4. Add the mixture from step 3 into the chocolate and butter mixture, stirring until no dry flour remains.

5. Pour the batter into an 8-inch baking pan and smooth the surface.

6. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees and bake for approximately 18-20 minutes.

*You can use a toothpick to check if it's done in around 16-18 minutes. If the toothpick comes out with a few crumbs, it means it's baked well. If it comes out with batter, it needs more time. If it comes out clean without any crumbs, it means it's overbaked. The perfect brownies should have a thin, dry crust on the surface and a moist and soft interior. Being too dry or too hard is not desirable.
