To meet the owners’ desire for a peaceful retreat and accommodate their family needs, we converted a cramped kitchen into a stylish yet family gathering space. Taking inspiration from the owners’ exquisite Hermès furniture collections and tropical-themed porcelain tableware, we introduced a walnut and beige colour scheme, while adorning the cabinet with intricate details. To further enhance the ambience, we integrated modern lighting fixture, woven bar stools and the Kriptonite Krossing wall shelving, that used to appear in living room, to extend the relaxing vibe of living room.

In the centre of the kitchen, we have introduced an island to expand the working area for ingredient preparation, and transform the space to a gathering spot for the couple to enjoy their private moments, such as breakfast or parent-and-kid baking session. We also incorporated a bi-folded window between the kitchen and the garden, allowing the owners to interact with their guests during BBQ parties.

The kitchen is also equipped with the multi-functional and versatile appliances from Bosch, which have fulfilled the needs of cooking for baby to adults, tastefully and healthily, and ensured practicality for various occasions.

The Perth Apartment is interior design and renovation project that aims to transform a 40-year-old typical residential apartment into a contemporary family home located in the heart of Kowloon area, Hong Kong. The apartment requires major maintenance, spatial reconsideration, and lacks natural daylight while being filled with excessive decorations. The client's program requires two bedrooms only, and the design objective is to create a clean and open living space that emphasizes the harmony and calmness of a home.

The design focus of this island kitchen lies in the richly patterned black quartz worktop, exuding a unique personality. Mia Cucina incorporates walnut wood and dark stone-textured finishes for the upper and base cabinets, enhancing the visual appeal. The layout of the island kitchen provides ample cooking space for the homeowners, making it perfect for enjoying a glass of wine with friends while cooking, creating a warm and leisurely atmosphere.
